Reimbursement
Payment of the dental plan is made directly to the participating dentist. The plan's payment is based on the maximum plan allowance after deductibles and coinsurance. The maximum plan allowance is determined by taking the lesser of the submitted amount or the maximum fee as determined by Delta Dental of North Carolina for the particular procedure code. Delta Dental of North Carolina participating providers accept the allowed amount as payment in full for services covered under the plan.
